Island Mystic
The Island Mystic is a Yellow Kyrii who lives on Umbuku Island on the northwest coast of Mystery Island. He first appeared on 16 August 2000 as part of the Arrival of Virtupets plot. He is a fortune teller, and players can visit him once a day to hear a new, free prediction.
The fortunes he tells are not guaranteed to come true, and they often are light hearted or off-the-wall. From the 25 August 2004, if he tells the player a fortune including the word 'Kyrii' or 'Kyries', they are awarded an Island Mystic avatar.

Arrival of Virtupets[edit]

The Island Mystic was able to decode a message the Space Faerie had intercepted. To do this, he needed many codestones, which players had to give to him. The decoded message revealed Dr. Sloth's intentions to transfigure Neopia's Neopets.

The Island Mystic was seen on the dock when Monster Boy was sacrificed to Mumbo Pango.
Mystery Island Volcano[edit]

The Island Mystic was the third of Mystery Island's residents to be kidnapped. When Jhuidah was rescued, she explained that she, the Island Mystic, the Tiki Tack Man, the Tiki Tour Guide, and the Techo Master were all entrusted to keep a magical seal in place that prevented Moltenus from escaping Techo Mountain. When the Island Mystic returned, he explained that each of the keepers knew one word of a spell that was needed to control the beast. The Island Mystic's word was 'awaken'.
The Island Mystic later provided users with the clues needed to compose a new spell and defeat the Tura-Kepek.

- Like Edna, the Island Mystic originally appeared as a human. He was changed into a Kyrii on March 4, 2003.
