Series 3 of the Neopets Collector Plush line was released on July 1, 2008. Each plush toy came with a virtual prize code. This code could be redeemed on Neopets.com to unlock a Key Quest token version of the purchased plush. Users who redeemed a code were also given one exclusive bonus item that was randomly selected from a small pool of items associated with the purchased plush.
