8-Bit is one of the many colours available to Neopets and Petpets. In general, 8-Bit pets resemble game sprites from the 8-bit era of video games.
The 8-Bit colour for Neopets was released on March 22, 2011. Before [[Altador Cup VII], in which a Power-Up Potion was the top prize, the only way that users could change the colour of their Neopet to 8-Bit is by receiving a lucky zap from the Lab Ray.
The 8-Bit colour for Petpets was released on November 3, 2011. The only way that users can change the colour of their Petpet to 8-Bit is by receiving a lucky zap from the Petpet Lab Ray.
