on plushies[edit]

the term plushie is differnet from doll...i don't know what the difference is, but i feel i should at least point that out. :o --Jacob 16:20, 6 Aug 2006 (CDT)

A 'plushie' is a soft toy, cloth stuffed with straw, beans, cotton, etc... A doll can be made of (I quote from the wikipedia article)
# Bisque
# Bisqueloid
# Celluloid
# Clay
# Cloth (see also rag doll)
# Composition
# Corn husks
# Paper
# Plastic
# Polymer-Clay
# Porcelain
# Resin
# Rubber
# Vinyl
# Wax
# Wood

and is usually depicting humans... In Neopets, of course, it is more common to find them depicting Neopets, as one would expect... I don't feel we need to try and invent a distinction between doll and plushie as a distinction already exists in Neopets: if it's called a doll, it's a doll, if it's called a plushie, it's a plushie... --Macbeth 10:07, 7 Aug 2006 (CDT)

Representative image[edit]

I found this image and thought it might suit the article. Or would it be a better idea to have a collection of 6 or so plushies, like in the Muffin article (as an example)? --User:Dizzy 23:16, 7 Apr 2007 (CDT)

Image suits the article very well, but would require a description along the lines of "jubjub playing with 3 different plushies". --Jacob 21:02, 8 Apr 2007 (CDT)
That JubJub is a shopkeeper for user shops! --85.130.145.82 13:18, 11 Apr 2007 (CDT)
Yeah I know. I don't think that's against the rules...is it? o.o --Dizzy 13:29, 11 Apr 2007 (CDT)
Not that I am aware of. --Macbeth 13:57, 11 Apr 2007 (CDT)

Plushie Tycoon[edit]

I'm not in the mood to correct the PT sentence that the un-registered user opted to add (he/she seems to be having fun going through and adding particularly unhelpful info that, in some cases is incorrect). In Plushie Tycoon, the player does NOT get real NP for making the plushies. Their "business" gets money that can be used to buy more supplies, to upgrade their warehouse, shop... etc. The competition starts early in the month and users have only a month to show profit (over their 50K NP seed money). Depending on their level of profit they win a trophy and NP. It takes a good amount of work and daily care-taking. I will eventually update this article to say something along these lines, but this article should still be under construction. -Cath 23:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

I've put it on protection for the time being - you of course will still be able to edit if you get round to it due to your phenomenal sysop powahs ;). --Macbeth 02:08, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
