The Giant Spyders were one of the Battledome opponents that users could fight during the Battle for Meridell plot. These incredibly large spyders travel in groups of three and obey the commands of Lord Kass.
The Giant Spyders appeared on March 10, 2004 and were the first wave of enemies during the Battle for Meridell plot. Users received 1 plot point every time they defeated the Giant Spyders. A total of 5,000,000 Giant Spyders were released during the plot.

- Users who defeated at least one Giant Spyder during the Battle for Meridell plot were rewarded with the BFM - Squished Spiders avatar upon the plot's conclusion.
