Werewolf

“Werewolf� is the latest craze to hit the PPT Forums since “PPT Top’s Graphician� came into existence. Ever since this creepy take on Survivor came into play, it has gained many fans and of course, many players. The first game only held _ _ players but through the new and improved Werewolf games, that number has grown greatly. The current game, “Werewolf 5� has signed up 43 people and gained even more fans. The Werewolf franchise has grossed on an average, 4000 page views per thread created (This includes both Gameplay and Commentary) bringing a smile to the creator, ScottNak. ScottNak, a moderator at the PPT Forums, was a fan of this game himself and played it occasionally on the IDB Forums. He thought to himself, “What if I bring this game to the PPT Forums?� and so started the Werewolf trend. Ever since “Werewolf� games arrived on the PPT Forums, many other users have taken their own little spin on it, creating alternate games.
“The Journals�, created by Dawn2, was a little similar to Werewolf. Instead of voting out players who tried to kill you, you voted out players who you thought, stole your journals. Dawn2’s idea was brilliant and original; however, it was locked due to the immense popularity of “Werewolf� and the slight inactiveness of its players. The players who were in the game and out of the game had this to say,
“Well, I was out the first day, but I did check back a few times. It seemed like there were a few players that seemed quite active in the game, but since it was closed down due to inactivity, I think there were too many people that signed up without the intention of finishing it. It did seem like a good idea at the time, too bad it was locked.� – Kugetsu
Even though Dawn2’s idea didn’t quite work out, that didn’t stop sirclucky from creating his own take on “Werewolf�. Soon after the lockage of Dawn2’s “The Journals�, “Petpet Wars� was created. After sirclucky had cleared his idea with ScottNak, his game was set to go. “Petpet Wars� is set to start once it has 16 members. It currently has 13. It is true that “Werewolf� has started a trend and will most likely continue to create other games, which may be as successful or as seen above, not as successful. “Werewolf� itself has gone through 4 successful games and is currently at its fifth and most popular game. These are the current standings of “Werewolf 5�:
The werewolves (Blk Mage, Gundam_Kola01, Sock and Urthdigger) have successfully been destroyed due to the executions and random killings (Jelly poisoned and shot with marked bullets). The rivals of the werewolves are the Mafia members. Only two have been found out and executed due to the help of Kugetsu. However, with all of this good must also contain a bad. Sadly, many innocents have also died, some leaving coloured coins behind while others simply lay there, lifeless, without a Scott-given power. The number of players has decreased drastically from 43 to 15. Who will win? Only time, or Scott, will tell.
“Werewolf� will become apart of PPT’s history as being one of the most creative and fun games to play online. If you haven’t experienced it yet, wait till “Werewolf 6� kicks off its season and be sure to expect tons of twists and surprises along the way.
