The Lair of the Beast is a cave in the Tyrannian Plateau. Players can venture in to their cave, over the protests of their active Neopet, until a gigantic Pterodactyl jumps out of the darkness and roars at them.
It was released on 6 April 2001. It was one of the locations to visit as part of the Apple Bobbing quests in 2010.
