The Lava Ghoul as seen in the Battledome.
The Lava Ghoul is a fiery monster that is known for its dangerous hot lava breath. It is one of the many one-player challengers that can be fought in the Battledome. The Lava Ghoul roams Mystery Island. Because it steals and then consumes food and other items, the Lava Ghoul is considered a menace.

Trivia
- If a user lands on the Wheel of Excitement's Lava Ghoul space, the Lava Ghoul will come down from a nearby cloud and breathe fire over all of the user's Neopets, causing them to lose some HP.
- In the early days of Neopets, the Lava Ghoul had its own page in the Gallery of Evil. This page was removed from the site sometime before 2002.
