Woohoo! I was so happy when I heard the news last night. I even stayed up late to watch Obama's speech, which I thought was great. No matter which candidate you supported you must admit it's wonderful to see history being made. Last night I was just thinking about all that had changed in this country for African Americans over the past 40 years. From having to fight for the right to be treated as equal human beings to becoming president of the United States, what a journey. Seeing Jesse Jacksonin tears got me crying last night too.

Phew, I'm so happy/relieved! I thought I was going to support McCain, but he did some things I didn't agree with so I found I had more in common with Obama. I'm just optimistic that we all can work together these next 4 years.

Me too...and me too.
Though after I drank several glasses of wine in his honor I was in a very cheerful mood.
The Huckster basically echos my sentiments. Major congrats to him for making history. I hope he does a good job as well.
And at least the dems didn't get their filibuster-proof majority so we still have some weight in the balance.
