That's what I keep hearing from the generation before me. The whole thing is a complaint about the fact that every generation before us complains about us and says their generation was better and I'm tired of it.

That'd work, except that my mother, my mother's close friend, and my boyfriend's mother all work in elementary schools in this county; I'm also still in contact with a few teachers from my old high school. I've heard enough from them to believe that it's a decline in the overall quality of education.
