I'm a god! :D

Hahaha, I was thinking that same thing. No idea who Angus Young is, but I dig the name Angus. XD

It's ironic really, today I was talking about how much I hated the name Angus.

Child, if you're telling me that you hate Paul McCartney and Angus Young, you will leave me no choice to give you a sever musical education. Now Evanescence may be fine, make very good music and be excellent for a momentary distraction from today's wasteland of talent. They are respectable musicians, well rounded as artists, and failry well marketed.

BUT THEY ARE NOT LEGENDS!!!

They are not gurus of music. They are not the inspiration to several generations. They havenot revolutionize music. They are not revolutionizing the music industry. They will never revolutionize an entire culture and society.

Tell you what... if Amy Lee is singing at the superbowl in 40 years we can argue about who's better then. If your grandchildren still listen to Amy Lee 40 years from now, we can argue. If your grandchildren even know who Amy Lee was, we can argue. Until then, I think we can make a decent assumption.

I don't hate Angus Young. I was just saying I didn't like the name because it reminds me of that dude from the Simpsons. I like the Angus here on PPT, nice fella.

And I have my own opinions on what I like and what I don't like. Just because I don't like any songs of Paul McCartney sings doesn't mean I don't think he's a legend. I know he has revolutionized music and that he is well respected, it's just I don't like his music. Period.

And why does everyone have to go bashing Evanescence everytime I say I don't like an artist? I mean, geez, I can't have my own opinion if I diss an artist someone likes? Yes, Evanescence may not be here in 40 years but it doesn't mean you can go right ahead and bash them.

And ANOTHER thing, you don't know that Evanescence won't revolutionize music in the coming years. I'd like to think they will be but even if they won't, who gives a damn anyways.

I'm really tired of people insulting my favorite band just because I said something about there's. I didn't say ONE thing about Paul McCartney having no talent and what not, don't bash my opinion because it doesn't agree with your own.

One last thing, I didn't mean to offend anyone when I said I hated Paul McCartney. Also, Angus, I'm sorry I said I hated your name. I was, a little peeved yesterday.

Didn't she just sing God Bless America? Was there an actual singing of the anthem?

Also Ammer, for the record, I do think that Evanesence is much more talented than most musicians on the scene today and probably one of the few that deserve to be where they are. I'm sorry my post came off the way it did. I meant it much more toung in cheek than it appears.

It's okay. You meant well.

I thought it was good, and Paul is awesome, but I think they held back a bit too much. I know they were trying to be conservative so that what happened last year wouldn't happen this year, but they could have had another singer - normally they have 2 or more... Or some dancers or something... The music was great, but it wasn't a good *show*. (Not putting Paul down AT ALL - it's the people who decided on just having him, and not anything else.)

EDIT: Forgot Bob Dylan and Jimmy Page. :)

EDIT AGAIN: Forgot Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, David Gilmour, and Frank Zappa. :)

You rock, dude.

Thank you. I am tired of everyone claiming current artists are better than the real talent...don't get me wrong, Beyonce and Usher are phenomenal. It's just one cannot compare them to Paul McCartney, and other unbelievably talented artists (gods).
