Discuss music in any form from rock bands to Britney Spears' latest VMA performance. It's all good!

*nods* Yup. I was really hoping he would've won that year too
He's now in La Cage Aux Folles as Jean-Michel, and it says on his website that a little part of it is going to be in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I don't know if the he'll be in that little bit though.
I swear, if he's ever in RENT, I think I would die from happiness lol

Has anyone mentioned Hairspray yet? I haven't actually seen it but I'm doing the choreography for a drama club I help run and the music, script and characters so far are fab!
"Good morning Baltimore
Every day's like an open door"
I love that song.

I've yet to see a musical I don't like. (Though, admittedly, I haven't seen many.) I am very annoyed at the fact that there is a school trip going to see Jesus Christ Superstar, which all my friends are going to, but none of them told me about! Grr!
Anyway, now that I have that out of the way. My favourite has to be Man of La Mancha, which I saw on Broadway. It was just...wonderful. I got the soundtrack, which I listen to all the time. Though it's a bit odd, because the person who played Sancho was Pumbaa in the Lion King... =P
I would so love to see the Lion King. My grandmother had tickets, but she didn't take me, 'cause it was a 4 hour drive and missed school for me. I think it so woulda been worth it, though...

Ooh nice to see other Rent fans. My sister has been a fan from the beginning and hooked me a couple of years ago.
To the person who saw it in September..did you see Broadway or the tour?

Wicked and Avenue Q are my favorites.

I've heard music from Avenue Q... It sounds so funny! "It'd be OK, if you ......"
I haven't seen too many musicals, living in a town of 5,095 in the Midwest, but I really like Andrew Lloyd Webber. I really like his music. And the high school here did Honk last year, and the cat in it was great. and VERY hot (it's not every day you find guys in leather pants)

Cats totally has a story line.
It involves choosing a cat to go to be reborn.
With really kick but music!
Umm... Les Mis, Cats...
And the Sound of Music... are my favorites.
Cats I love to watch, Les Mis I love to listen too...
and The Sound of Music just makes me happy. *nods*

I like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, although, it's not watching the movie that's my favorite memory. My favorite memory is when my band got the sheet music for Time Warp. One of the girls did the choreography to make up for when all the other people aren't on stage, and invited people to dance while the others are playing. Since I decided to be more outgoing and wacky that year, I decided to go. It was just me, one other guy, and two girls, the people who were more weird than your average band geek. Needless to say, the school loved it when we performed during an assembly

Every night is a fantasy
Every sound's like a symphony
I haven't seen it yet, but I got the recording from the library. I am, in fact, listening to it right now.

Both Maureen and I saw it in September, the tour cast when they were in Orange County.

Too many to count...but my standard answer is usually "The Music Man" because I've liked it the longest.
Other faves would include "Beauty and the Beast," "The Lion King," "Miss Saigon," "Phantom of the Opera," "Damn Yankees," "Anything Goes," "Fiddler on the Roof," "42nd Street," "Les Mis," "The Sound of Music" and I would probably love "Avenue Q" since I like the soundtrack. XD
And West Side Story! I can't believe I've still never seen that movie!
Grrrrr and I want to see "The Producers" so badly. But I want to see Matthew Broderick and Nathen Lane in it.
I really haven't seen a musical I didn't like....'cept maybe Annie (I like the movie a lot better)....and I really wasn't too fond of Pippen either.

Don't get me started on musicals. Don't. Get. Me. Started.
Rent, The Lion King, Hairspray, Wicked, Avenue Q, Little Shop of Horrors... I could talk for hours about Broadway and musicals...

Nice, How's the new cast? I saw it last October and the cast was amazing. Brian Gligor and Jamie Lee especially. I'm also trying to make it to NY before Drew Lachey's run is over..I'm curious how his Mark is.
