I'm debating switching teams. I've heard a lot of active-on-the-boards Sway are switching to the Thieves Guild, hoping that they can claim any victory that faction gets as being due to them. Which of course makes me lean towards joining the Order. :D I wouldn't even consider joining the Sway, but I like all 3 current factions, and the Seekers didn't seem very active last time -- a lot of them are overly whiny about wanting puzzles. And delusional thinking they'll get some this next round...

That works for me. I shall remain loyal to the Thieves Guild.

Besides, I put a lot of work into my signature picture

I'm sticking with Seekers. And continuing to train up Melisandale so that maybe she'll fare a little better this round.

I am still with the Order. :)

I am still trying to decide whether TNT will leave the Battlegrounds open as a regular feature or we get a few months to try and get a faction win.

Also speculating about whether the winners of these skirmishes will get the avatar and sitetheme.

Well, TNT has changed the description of the obelisk from "event" to "feature" on the main page, so maybe it's a semi-permanent guild war. There's some speculation that it'll be 2p battling because of the wording when you select your team (something about fighting other "Neopets").

I can't decide... Thieves or Order? Or stay with Seekers? A lot of the Seekers quit partway through last time; maybe those won't sign up this time around. But I think I like the Thieves slightly better, anyway. But then all the Sway decided to take over, so even if the Thieves win, they're going to claim it's a Sway victory, which would totally annoy me... They definitely deserved Pride as their enemy. (I suspect the Order and Thieves were in a very close race for first with the Sway, and the Sway barely eked out the victory, while the other 3 were farther behind).

I'm with the Seekers once more, and we shall not be ignored! Read a book!
But really, when will the Tyrannia's council of elders make their move? Outsiders ran into THEIR land, and they do nothing? I also wonder when the new horde of Tyrannian invaders will come, given they haven't shown their face since the first war in the battledome. Hmmm... o_O

I just rewatched the videos and reread the Neopedia articles. This part stood out on the Seekers' article:
Professor Lambert sighed, looking at her with concern across his spectacles. "My dear niece, I have told you not to engage in brawls if you can avoid them. And why didn't you have Tiny with you?"

"He was recharging in the library," the little Kacheek said. The giant robot used a lot of energy, but could easily hold its own in a battle.

Gladstone nodded to confirm this, but the Ixi scholar wagged a finger at her. "A good scholar thinks how to win a fight before beginning his physical attack. You should always have a strategy."

"That's what Sandro's always telling me!" Katie exclaimed. "He loaned me his Philosophy of War last week. I'll do better next time, though. I have an idea for Tiny's programming that should make him twenty percent more energy efficient. Then I won't have to leave him behind."
Katie, you named the T-3000 Tiny?!?
But... I think I'm going to join the Order this time. I think I like them best of the three.

Part Two has started

Skirmish One

One opponent from each (previous) wave forms the team for the skirmish.

It is a straight out click and win against 10 opponents which are given out all at once.

The regular challengers are still available in the 'dome and the skirmish challengers show up under those and not in their own section (TNT should have made a section just for skirmishes, since they kept the regular challengers).

We have another countdown. 264 hours (11 days) until the fighting ends.

I stayed with the Order.

At least the skirmish challengers are all at the bottom of the main list of challengers, so hitting "end" finds them quickly. This is going to get very boring very fast, but I shall do my best for the Order.

Unlike the war fighting (and more like the new normal fighting), HP does not restore at the end of a win.

I've started just battling the "8 HP" opponent and healing during battle. I need a better healer, though. They only last the one round.

Blue, do you have the lens flare ability? It can keep you from taking damage if you can kill them in one hit. There's a 60HP-healer in the prize shop, it's a jar of something-or-other, I think (brains, maybe?), if you got enough points for it.

I do indeed have lens flare.

I'll need to check out that 60HP healer... Thanks!

Countdown has changed. It looks like we have 4 days for the skirmishes.

Clock is down to 78 hours.

If you don't already have it, Warlock's Rage will also prevent damage for 1 turn.

So if you have both, you can get 2 turns at them without taking damage.

If your pet has over 500HP, then Velm's Healing Potion is great, as it heals 10% of your HP. (Actually with the new 60HP healer, you will need over 600 hp for this to be a better option).

Quoth Professor Lambert with a little pout and his chin jutting out:
You mean to partake in fisticuffs with me? How contemptible.
Sorry! I fit in better with the Order, but we've got the same goal, really. I promise!

21, 11, 16, 10, 23; 28, 15, 11, 10, 14 wins yesterday (with 1 loss against octuple-lens-flaring Kanrik, grrrrr....). There don't seem to be faction challenges this time.

P.S. Shouldn't this board be renamed? Technically the war is over, and this is a new thing. Maybe a semi-periodic "guild war."
