The Tax Beast is a Neopian of unknown species (refered to as an "imp") who travels Neopia demanding "donations" from the citizens it meets. He appears as a Random Event and steals 10% of a user's total Neopoints on hand, capable of stealing millions if a user isn't careful. The Tax Beast Random Event was announced on 30 October 2002 and a Tax Beast High Score Table was created for it.

• As of January 2007, the Tax Beast hasn't been seen for a long period of time and the High Score Table is gone, stating that "Oops! This game does not exist.".
