The JubJub is a small Neopet reminiscent of a hedgehog. They were one of the original species available from Neopets' launch. The JubJubs' body is a ball of fur with no arms or hands, just a large pair of feet. Their feet have opposable toes, which means they can still manipulate tools.

They are shy, unaggressive creatures who prefer to keep to themselves, but scare very easily. They can defend themselves with a deafening screech, and can curl up into a ball and flee at high speed.

The JubJub was originally called the JibJib, but was renamed "JubJub" on 23 August, 2000. It may be named after the JubJub Bird in the Lewis Carroll poem, Jabberwocky. The JubJub's design - a ball with feet - is similar to the Kiko's design - a ball with arms. There are two colours that only JubJubs and Kikos can be painted - Clay and Garlic. The JubJub is also the only Neopet that can be painted Coconut, where they resemble some members of the Coco people. In the Neopets Trading Card Game, JubJubs are associated with the element of Air.

Battledome

In the Battledome, JubJubs receive 20% resistance to Physical damage, and 30% resistance to Air damage. However, they receive 20% more damage from Fir attacks. They can learn six abilities.

JubJub BAM - Attack: 3 x Earth, 0 - 3 x Physical; Defence: none; available from level 1;

JubJub Slam - Attack: 2 x Air, 1 x Physical; Defence: none; available on JubJub Day only;
JubJub Fire - Attack: 2 x Air, 2 x Fire, 1 - 2 x Physical; Defence: none; available on JubJub Day only.

There are also sixteen pieces of equipment that can only be used by a JubJub.

As of March 2010, JubJubs are placed 7th in popularity with over 10.4 million in existence in Neopia.
On October 3, 2007, a Neovision Mini-Show was released, showing a yellow JubJub using many different Battledome Equipment items (notably the Battle Duck, Little Timmy's Slingshot, Bony Grarrl Club, Sword Of Skardsen, Wand of the Dark Faerie, and Ghostkerbomb) using mechanical arms, a joke about how JubJubs do not have hands.
Although they look similar, JubJubs are not related to Fuzzles.
