I was wondering the same thing myself...
Maybe they've made some random mistake or they're too caught up in the CG/HW plot. And they're introducing a new mini-world (aka Cyodrake's Gaze) and the Cup prizes to try and distract us while they sort it out.

Nah, they just know tbat a lot of people are waiting on plot prizes. They also get a sick pleasure of dangling treats above cute little puppies.

I honestly don't get it. For these prizes they had to draw some prizes and trophies specifically for the winning teams, which means they couldn't release the prizes on the very moment the cup ended. While the plot prizes are still missing, and they don't need to do anything special for them. Really...

Good point. I can't see any reason for our lack of prizes yet. I hope there is one, though, and they haven't just decided to move on with life and forget about them.

I double-checked the text to make sure the rewards weren't just the badge, astrolabe, and club -- but it definitely said to come back later for rewards, implying there should be prizes.

Since the cup prizes were released I keep hoping that the plot ones will be any day now. Probably a long shot, I know, but still. I wonder how they'll work out points?

Maybe we'll get prizes of different values according to how far we got in the plot and how long it took to get that far?
I missed the LDP; how did they work out everyone's LDP points?

During the mystery Island plot did they release prizes after closing the plot or did the just release the prizes on the day they closed the plot?

You got points for completing different parts of the plot. There was a page that gave an overview of all possible steps and the ones you didn't do were coloured grey. Some people also got extra points for being one of the first ones to complete certain parts of the plot.
There were also steps in the plot where you were able to do some things a couple of times, like moving sand for example, but during that process you were able to find stuff in the sand, so they didn't give extra points to people who moved more sand, because they already had more chances of getting good things while moving the sand. There is one step though (the moving of furniture) that hasn't been mentioned anywhere and you couldn't win anything with it either, so I am still wondering what happened to that, I think they made an error in monitoring it or something...

The Cup game hated me so I didn't get any points after trying for a day and thus I gave up. Now, where on earth are the prizes for the plot I actually did complete, and which not to mention came first?

Have TNT actually made a statement about plot prizes? Or was it only the cup prizes they mentioned?
I'm only asking because I'm begining to think that there may, in fact, not be any prizes for the Altador Plot.

TNT have not released any statement on the Plot at all.
We will definately get prizes - but the plot (for what ever reason) has not been closed. So until TNT actually close the plot, no prizes will be given out.
TNT will put something in the news when indeed the plot closes and hopefully at that time will say something about the prizes.
Remember, the last speech by King Altador tells us to check back at the Council Chambers for our reward.

And I say, thank you tnt for not closing that plot, for I managed to finish it just two days ago. 
Actually, I was done with it two months ago but I couldn't find the last constellation no matter what. Then I recieved help, and all it took was a simple spell book and voila! - plot finished.
