I'm sort of doing this randomly, but i'm trying to record all the results as I go. So far all I've found is that there are never more than three pipes or vats filled with water at any given time, no matter what's on or off, and I can't tell when or what I click on will cause anything to happen. And from the results of the people who have solved the water puzzle and gone back to the plant, the parts of the plant that do have water running through them is still only three, but just as random.

I give up, I think I'm going to try again later tonight or tomorrow...it's just driving me insane right now

Anyone want to sit at my account for three hours and solve something for free?

No?

Really?

*g* hehe, good luck all - I'm thinking TNT may give us some extra time for most to get this done so I won't have to worry about it moving on too quickly

Finally fixed the water! :D

If it's help to anyone:

Left Room:
+ +
All pipes and vats dry

Middle Room:
+ + U
Upper pipe and both vats full

Right Room:
D D U
All pipes and vats dry

Which is totally weird because I'm sure I tried that combination before.

For those of you that are to the point of exploring the library and tossing the amulet on each statue, I have an idea. In previous posts I had mentioned about finding something about the statues and the amulet in the library. I now believe that we will not be able to find whatever is hidden in the Archives until it is released. In other words, searching the library now is a wild goose chase.

Bold faced the type to catch people's attention. I'm almost always overlooked ina flood of whining, sniveling, "It's not working!" people. No offense to anyone, but please read the other posts befor flying off the handle and complaining.

Troubleshooting:
*Can't get in the door? Refresh the page a few times.
*Can't fix the water flow? Just keep trying, breaking your computer will NOT help
*What does the amulet do on the statues/what are we looking for in the archives? Not really answerable at this point in time, check my theory.
*Can't find the constellation? Nothing but one of the starmappers will help you. Although, this is a geometric constellation, meaning the main part will have straight lines equal distances apart(a + in a tilted square) with one star off to the side.

ok...after much randomness and frustration...I have come to a conclusion...there is no systematic way to solve the water puzzle. I finally gave up and just started flipping switches and stuff. After about 10 minutes, actually, about 10 minutes exactly, the problem was solved. The only thing that had any thought behind it that I did was that when the room changed, I moved on to another room and flipped each switch once or until the room changed. If the room didn't change after flipping each switch once, then I moved on to the next room. Because of how random this is, I really think this is a matter of random switching. There is no system or pattern to it.

Ugh all the farmer says after clicking the medalian is
Farmer Follies eyes you as you approach. "Well howdy there," he says. "You're from the city, eh? I've got a ninth cousin there, works as a janitor, maybe you know him."

When I click on the windmill and then return to him he says something about your not from the water plant are you. So I tried clicking the door at the water plant after that and still nothing.

great...now it seems that the constellation finders aren't accurate for mine

Thats not the correct phrase for the Farmer. Try refreshing that page. If it still does not change to talking about flooding, try going back to the water plant and the quarry to click on the medallion again. Make sure you do not use back to get out of those pages and then try the Farmer again.

It seems you have a problem with the new pages not comming up. Be sure to try refreshing if you do not see the page you think you should.

I have been clicking around for FOUR HOURS. :x This is NOT a fair puzzle, AT ALL.

There has to be some logic behind it.

Those using possible combinations have not had the best success. I was at it for a long time until I got frustrated and flooded the city a few times. That resets the plant and like the flaming bird, may be needed if you have clicked too many times. Open everything and start over if it has taken more than a few minutes of random clicking.

I'm going to be honest: I was jumping from room to room, randomly pulling switches and turning wheels, so I don't remember what pattern I ended up with at all, but I think this is how my rooms ended up looking:

* Both vats were filled in the middle room
* The vat in the right room was empty
* The vat in the left room started out empty, but I may have filled it with my last turn of the wheel; I never saw it because the stupid engineers (?) dragged me out of there as soon as I hit the right combination....

I vaguely remember two of my switches in the right room pointing down, and the middle one pointing up, but that's the extent of my memory. This, of course, won't be of any use if it turns out that the pattern's random for every person, but I thought I'd throw that out just in case. :(

Edit: T'was using Firefox. Don't know if that matters, either, but other people were mentioning browsers....

I was clicking randomly.

And I was flooding it every 10 minutes or so. That's the first thing I did figure out. Still nothing. And I'm even using IE.

It's at the point, where despite the risks, I wanna ask someone else to do it. My body does not handle stress well, and this has literally given me the beginnings of a migrane.

I clicked randomly (meaning I would click a few things, then check ALL the vats in each room to see what changed) and kinda went from there...got it in less than 10 minutes somehow, and using Firefox.
