Altador Plot Split #2

Ok people, Just wanted to say hello again and it's good to be back on a new plot. Sadly like many I was working all day until a little while ago and my new job isn't going to allow me as much time on this plot but I'm certainly going to try and keep up, if not ahead
Found my oil, got the light (where have I heard that phrase before ), I guess that means I'm as up-to-date as most (but please let me know if there's more I should have done).

I have 1 big point to bring up, regarding the Statues.

Once you have found the Oil, there is no way to find out what Statue the Oil was behind. So if you forget which Statue it was (as I have) then it would make progressing in the plot harder.

I think the Oil was placed behind a random statue, just to give us a place to look. Nothing more, nothing less.

As TNT have already stated that only something minor would accompany Altador, I don't see the involved machinations that we saw in the LDP.

You may be right, you may be wrong - but TNT does so enjoy little white lies like that. Yet, Knowing how fast things spread, I doubt they would bother putting in the extra code just for the fun of it. Still, we can only wait.

Fellow Neopians!! I am liking our connections to the "Mysterious Statue" in Maraqua; one of the heroes is Marak, the Wave... clearly sea related!! Perhaps Maraqua and Altador are near each other??

Hey! I'm new to this site and this is my first plot through Neopets! Yay! I read through all of the first part of this thread and I read through this one as well, so I hope I'm not repeating myself. That's a lot of reading!

1) In reference to the quote above, I was thinking along similar lines. What if Maraqua and Altador were once neighboring coastal cities?

2) I know everyone's been around for a while, but I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on who exactly the janitor reminds us all of...just curious.

3) You all are so smart! I couldn't find the rock quarry anywhere...still can't...lucky me there was a link to it!

Didn't get this in last night, but I got my bottle of oil behind the King. Someone on the neoboards last night mentions that the Statues corresponded (right word?) with the Neopian months (Sleeping, Hunting, etc).

That Yurble janitor. Maybe he got fired after closing down the Repository in the Lost Desert (I didn't participate in the LD plot that much, so I could be wrong), and ended up with a job being a janitor at the Hall of Heroes.

The janitor was the foreman from the last plot, the LDP. Also, Welcome to PPT!!

1) Indeed, I'm coming to that conclusion. Maraqua is right on the edge after all.

2) In the last plot there was a friendly, or not so friendly, Forman who bossed us around a lot of the time. We got quite fond of the old guy - and he's back to see us again.

3) You're not alone. I've yet to say anything thats worked - but hey, I try.

If Maraqua is visible on this side of the Neopian Map and Altador is supposed to be the other side of the Neopian World... how can they be close?

If neopias is sperical, and Maraqua is on the edge of what we can see - there is nothing saying that Altador wouldn't be visable if you turned the planet just a little.

IE. if you just looked at the Northern hemisphere you could argue that Africa Brasil is nowhere near Florida.

oh yeah...I forgot...don't know if someone was still thinking of the zodiac symbol connected to the statue, but I don't think so. I'm a virgo and got Jerdana. I've seen at least two other people with different signs who got Jerdana, so I think we can rule that connection out.

hehe...and that is a possibility...Altador is on the other side...didn't think of that...

From browing the boards, I thought of a more relevant idea based around this. What if it relates to the month you joined NP? Crazy I know - but hey, we have nothing else to do for the plot right now.

That would fit the whole, 'TDF was banned' theory, 'cause if they turned her to stone and shoved her off of the cloud or whatever Altador is on, she wouls fall into maraqua. Makes sense! You guys are good!

I just wanted to say that when I found my oil, I just went to the Darkest Faerie statue and refreshed until I got the oil. I've heard of a few other people that went there and just refreshed as well, so I think it was just random timing to get the oil, and not anything to do with the statue. I could be wrong of course and probably am but I just thought I'd share that with you guys.

Wow. You have to admit, but it can hardly be coincidence...several of the titles match the months...though I can't imagine what the calender could do with it. I think it might as well be worth noting, though. Might come in handy.

Oh I do wish TNT wouldn't leave us hanging on over a weekend so early in a plot. Besides the fact I go away for 10 days in 2 weeks.
