Why does it always seem to super-lag when shops restock?? However, after a restock, it flys through everything else...

because there are a ton of people refreshing all at the same time where as maybe half are hiting the refresh button when nothing is in the store..I would assume...

yeah, loads of people refresh, then when restock is completed, everything goes back to normal

What Lady Night said is correct, with everyone refreshing like mad, it only slows it down

players have always refreshed more than normal during restocks but it seems that this lag spike is especially obvious after they changed server.

Well, you might be able to take advantege of this so you know when the shops restock. Take it as a "SHOPS ARE RESTOCKING!" notice

yeah, you are right but the problem is when the lag spike's gone, so are the good stuff.

For me it doesn't lag when I enter or refresh in a shop. It just lags when I'm in the middle of buying an item.. I sometimes get really angry at my computer because when I get to the code part the image never shows up 
So there I am with an expensive item I want to buy, and can buy, but the image won't show up 
I find it really bad on half price day or when a new item is released at the shop I usually shop at XD
