I absolutely was surprised by and loved today's animation. I've always liked Garin a lot. I was hoping for a Garin item (i.e. with him featured on it), but oh well. The items given were still pretty nice.

The animation was fun. I loved the look on that stupid Usul's face when he got the sword 
I too was hoping for a battledome item. One of those swords would have been nice, and it was obvious that they didn't want their gifts. If a sword appears on the Money Tree and says it was donated by Garin or Jacques, we know how much they appreciate their friend's gift.
PS: I thought the boat was one of the cooler toys we got this year. Now all we need is a toy Revenge to have mock battles.

*disappointed sigh* There's been some great items, and they're all nicely drawn...but I don't really care for many of them. :/ I hope I get one that I like.
...actually, I would've been happy for a Plushie Petpet Paint Brush, but I never got one. My laptop was broken that day...or something. It wouldn't turn on. ...it was the next day that I learned that its battery was loose.

I thought it was supposed to be like each had given the other his favorite sword, and when they realized it they were touched, but also depressed by the irony. Like that story where the girl sells her hair to buy her husband a pocketwatch chain, only to find out he sold his pocketwatch to buy her an ivory comb. Something like that. It's been too long since I read that story.

This animation looked like a ripoff of the TGI Friday's commercial where the two guys buy TGI Friday's giftcards after their meal and exchange them

Your story sounds like the Futurama bit, which happens to be X-mas Related: Zoidberg bought Amy a set of comb, but Amy sold her hair to buy combs for Hermes, who sold his hair to buy combs for Zoidberg, which go great with his new hair, which is a wig made of Amy's and Hermes' old hair. Zoidberg: 'Finally, I look as pretty as I feel.'
Back to Garin, I thought they were just disappointed since they already had a sword. If it was their favorite sword, then Garin would have given his Maractite dagger. I thought the animation taught a nice lesson: Never look a gift Usul in the mouth. It was just too bad a cool Kyrii had to learn that the hard way.

Anybody else think today's animation was a bit budget ?? No shading on the new pets, copied and pasted images of Neopets in the background with some minor animation.

oh well... sure, they have some shabby ones, but they have some really cool ones too! They cant amaze us every day...otherwise... they'd never reaaalllly be amazing!
