B) Is Tomos a fourth grader or only as smart as one? His kissy face thing and short attention span just makes you feel bad to own a Lupe. Thankfully, my Zafara and Aisha are way above that. They need McGruder to do their comics. Wait he's busy with a new show...

I agree about Tomos; funny you mention he is just like my very first 4th grade "boyfriend"

I find that Tomos is the much needed stupid comic relief in this story. xD But then again, i'm immature myself. We need to stick together.

You are so sure? Okay, I can go with that (for now), but then why was part 4 delayed? Or is that WHY part 4 was delayed? Regardless, we know of a wedding ring and the Ring of the Lost, what is the third?

Well, I have found a virtuous way to occupy my Neopets time while I wait. One of my Neofriends didn't get into the LDP when it started, so she didn't try, thinking she was hopelessly behind. I explained what is going on, & am sort of walking her through it, as she tries to catch up with everyone. The recap on the first post of every split is most helpful. Her Neopets name (posted w/ her permission) is Mirielfox, if anyone would care to drop her an encouraging Neomail. She's only up to looking for the door under the fourth dot, & is hoping the plot won't move until she completes her tablet. I feel quite wise-and-mentorish about the whole thing.

Weird. At the SAME moment Jazan demands Amira's hand in marriage, right NEXT to that indicates that Tomos puts on the Ring of the Lost.

Um maybe I am too sleepy/delirious, but is Tomos Jazan and Nabile Princess Amira in disguse (hence the old statue referenced) OR ... is Tomos going to marry Jazan? LOL (sorry, after all this True Love stuff, someone had to insert something off-colour) (it's like matter meeting anti-matter if you think about it Sky, in the next chapter, I presume they "abolish" one another yet at the same time, take true form).

*and early to sleep she goes, dreaming of too much LDP drama*

if you look back in chapter 11 you notice that "the rings" nabile is talking about are the ones tomos found on the table. on the second page he finds a bunch, at least 9 if not more, most of them are probably just rings but a few are special, those are the ones nabile was talking about. the fact that they found "the ring of the lost" was either dumb luck, or extremely expert cunning on behalf of TNT . . . i vote for the first one . . .

The side by side rings is just a simple story device.

I don't know about the marriage or disguise stuff. Maybe we should come up with Blind Date: Sakhmet

Edit: If they do make a Blind Date: Sakhmet, I suggest they match up Tomos with Hannah. She can straighten him out or get him killed while stealing stuff.

Coming in for a landing before bed: So we have determined there are three (3) rings that Nabile speaks of, two or any of which may be significant? (I think Tomos is just a bit jealous of Nabile's sympathy for Jazan, but we all have speculated why; can only wait until the next chapter or end, I suppose?) Anyone have anything new regarding the Useless Crystal (*yawn* too tired to go into her repository)?

Maybe we link the rings and crystal to make a magic charm. At least that is what I'd do at the end of this if I had left over parts.

The four rings are:
1. the qasalan mummy wedding ring that Jazan has.
2, 3, 4. Three rings nabile reads about. one lifts "the" curse. one holds withcraft. One takes you home if you are lost.

Tomos put on the last one nabile read about: the ring of the lost.

Which pretty much proves Nabile marrying Jazan would not have the curse lifted. Unless Nabile turns out to be the first royal princess, but that is highly improbable and I think I'd remember being a princess at one time in my life.

Nabile's name means "nobility" in a language I can't remember... it was discussed on NC. I thought it was agreed earlier that it's fairly obvious Nabile is going to emerge as another Sahkmet Royal?

The zombies are undead like Nightsteed. Jazan could, conceivably, be undead too since he has been alive for so long. On that idea, why didn't Jazan make his play sooner? He could have had any princess of the past 1000yrs. Was Amira the hottest of all of them, and is Jazan just shallow? I wonder if we will ever know.

Ditto that, Trick. The card plainly states "the first Princess." Who knows which that is? There is a mediocre explanation in the editorials for the different princesses we already know about, so I say it's highly likely that Nabile is a princess and doesn't know it.
The only kink in that chain is this card:

Which states that the Prince is 1K years old. How old does that make the "first Princess", given that the betrothal was written prior to the curse and most likely when Jazan was still young?
