Painted pets and how YOU got them.

I have 13 pets (4 accounts) and 12 are painted. 2 were painted using the sponsor-based Fountain Faerie, 1 solely painted by the labray (since I liked the original color of the Neopet in question until it was redrawn), the remaining 9 I painted myself. 3 are/have been lab pets (although I had painted all but one of them before they became lab pets), and have interesting colors.

I'm not logged into Neopets right now, but let me see if I can remember what I have:

2 Faerie Neopets (Aisha, Kacheek, both through sponsor, both created by me)
1 Baby Kau (created then painted by me)
1 Cloud Skeith (originally yellow Kougra - created by me, disliked the changes to Kougras so started labbing him, and still continue to do so)

1 Darigan Eyrie (got plain from pound, turned into a peophin then painted Halloween, then stopped labbing when I got the Darigan eyrie combination)
1 Fire Scorchio (was originally something else that I created, likely it was painted, but I don't remember what - current labpet)
1 Baby Acara (adopted from pound as plain Acara, then I painted)
1 Pirate Poogle (created then painted)

4 Christmas pets, all adopted from the pound, but I painted all of them myself (Bruce, Jubjub, Uni, and Zafara)

1 plain blue Eyrie. He only exists because I needed a pet for a guild account. ^^; If they ever make something that's very intellectual looking, I might paint him that.

I have two, soon to be three painted pets. I have one painted pet on my main account, my zafara, which I painted Christmas, and I'm really close to getting a Strawberry Paint Brush for my gelert. On my second account, my uni got zapped by the lab and is now grey! I'd never be able to afford a grey paint brush, it takes me almost two months just to save up 150k. D:

All my four pets are now painted, the mutant Lenny and the tyrannian kougra were painted last year, back when the tyrannian paint brush costed me 210K. I also painted my wocky gold, but he is now silver due to the lab ray.
Finnaly I have a desert shoyru that was zaped by the lab, he will stay desert at least until the end of this plot.
