Am I the only one who can't get my pet to understand the scroll? I found the Nuria statue with the fer symbol on it so I read the fer scroll. But it keeps saying my pet has gained a little insight.

Then when I played pyramids I couldn't find the door that gives me the first missing parchment. I have been stuck on this for a long time and it's really irritating me. It feels like I'm stuck in the beginning while everybody else gets to enjoy their treasure. Help please? T_T

No, you are not the only one. I've had a dozen or so neomails about it. My best theory is that you should visit your statue just before going to the library and reading the scroll that matches the statue's symbol. (Without doing anything else inside the temple in between.) To be sure you get the correct symbol from your statue, you can right click on the image and look at the end of the image name. Use the list in the first post to see which library to go to. Also, the message is that your pet "understands the scroll and gains a little insight." So, be sure you are not missing it.

However, if you have not finished your tablet, you may not want to try for the "understood" message yet. You will be locked out of the temple for 12 hours after reading the scroll and won't be able to collect any tablet pieces.

We do not know if it is necessary to have a completed tablet to get into the repository.

I'm assuming you meant "first missing piece" instead of "parchment." As for not being able to find your door, all I can say is map your temple. The door is there. The first post also has some helpful sites for this. User page stefanwinkel is helpful as well.

Trust me, you aren't missing out. If you hang around, you'll see mostly boredom and frustration here - not enjoyment of treasures. :P

It will always say, "gains a little insight". The key is that before that it will either say reads the scroll (wrong one), or understands the scroll (right one). But the insight bit will always be there right or wrong. The best way to see if you have it right it to go see if the fer option is on your list when you talk to the repository guards.

It takes time, but mapping your temple will always help you in the end. 85ish rooms is alot to memorize and hope you stumble into the right place. The first post has alot of ideas for different ways to map, or come up with a way that works for you.

The rest of us are just carrying sand. We're not enjoying anything and it's certainly not much of a treasure. Don't worry, you have time to catch up.

When you complete your tablet you will be given a prophecy, you just put that in at your statue. Also look at the glyph on your statue and then go to a library room that has that scroll in it, read it and then go to the first post on this split and it will show you what to say to the Guards at the repository... The correct thing to say matches your statue glyph.

I'm posting this for a friend.

He hasn't started on anything yet.. I was wondering if it's better to find the statue first (so that it's possible to carry sand? But he would have to read the scroll in order to enter the repository then.. which takes another 12 hours.) or to complete the tablet first (mapping to be done! Whee..)?

Any thoughts? I'm just wondering if it's possible to carry sand if you haven't completed the tablet. And get buried in bugs :P

We do not know if you can enter the repository without a completed tablet, but I for one would be happy for you to test it out and let us know :P

However, you will be locked out of the temple for 12 hours after reading the correct scroll. So, it's really up to you.

This seemed like a good place to quote one of my posts from the last thread.
Quote:
To sum all this up:

You need to visit your statue before reading the scroll corresponding to the statue's symbol (not the door) in order to gain the "understands" and "gains a little insight" message, without doing anything else inside the temple in between. This needs to be completed before the correct choice, corresponding to the title of your scroll, will appear for you to enter the repository. This scroll needs to be the last scroll you read.

You do not need to give the statue the prophecy from your tablet in order to enter the repository.

You do not need to read the correct scroll before giving the translated tablet prophecy to the statue.

Can anyone confirm whether the repository can be entered without a completed tablet?

Whatever your friend decides he would have to map the tomb first. To finish the tablet you need to find too many different doors and he would just keep on getting lost.

If I was him I would map the tomb. Find the statue room... read the corresponding scroll and then see if he can go and dig some sand with us... once unlocked from the temple he can find the pieces of tablet.

Blame it on the boogie!

You can enter the repository without finishing the tablet. you just need to have read the correct scroll to get the right stuff to say. I've been getting sand for a while now, and i JUST finished the tablet and got burried and all that fun stuff.

Quick question!

I found my statue...took note of the symbol on the bottom and went to the library that I'd found that scroll in...but...it's all changed!!!!!

Are they supposed to move the scrolls around? Or did I just write it down wrong?
