The Lost Desert Plot

Written by: Light

"And Jazan and Nabile lived happily ever after."

You may have noticed the Lost Desert Plot has come to a close, and War/Plot addicts are raving. The plot wasn't so satisfactory in my terms; it was just a cheap romance graphic novel. Let's look at the chain of events shall we? Right after CoM (Curse of Maraqua), there are rumors that there will be a lost desert war and plot. Shortly after that the Neopian Times Editorial reports that it will be a "one sided war", and the battledomers are very disappointed. All of a sudden a few months later, the plot opens up. People hope that this time the ending won't be as Curse of Maraqua's ending, but their hopes are dashed by some TNT thrown at them by the Neopets Team. Then TNT makes it a twisted up Slot-Clotzan kinda plot, with the Fortune Teller and Temple of 1000 Tombs challenges. I have some questions for Adam, Donna and whoever made up this plot.

1. What happened to Tomas???? You never explained it to us! *throws asparagus*

2. What happened to this so-called "one-sided" war? Let me guess, you were lazy so you didn't bother doing it for the Neopians.

3. How does Jazan beat Razul all of a sudden? Where does this jolt of steroids energy come from?

To sum up the Lost Desert Plot, you just need two words perplexing and ludicrous.

The Neopets Team started failing Neopians right after the Darigan-Meridell war, which was the only real good war in my opinion. It had a good plot and a good battle. The Darigan War actually had some EFFORT put into the plot, which is why i liked it so much. After that, the effort dropped and the slorg kind of behaviour in TNT spiked. Curse of Maraqua was great all up to the very sad ending. The Pirates simply said "We withdraw!" This would be very unbelievable coming from the mouth of Captain Scarblade. Evil supporters like me aren't so glad.. ONLY ONCE out of the two-sided wars, did the evil neopets win - all the others were lost. Coincidence? I think not.

So Adam and Donna take my advice before you send me to "Iceland" for writing this article for the Pink Ink, if you want Neopians to be pleased with your work, spend more effort and time on your plots and war. So Neopians like me won't quit Neopets.
