Kim's Mini Pizzas

Written by: vkceankraz

This recipe is quick, easy, and painless! You can adjust it however you want to suit your tastes and/or eating habits. Warning: the recipe involves the use of an oven. If you have never used one before, please get help from an adult. Burns are not fun.

    Ingredients

  • 1 can biscuit dough (My personal preference*)

  • tomato sauce (spaghetti sauce or marinara could work, if you have a jar lying around)

  • shredded mozzarella cheese

  • diced pepperoni or other preferred meat (or diced vegetables)

    Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F degrees (or whatever the directions on the can say). If necessary, spray a little cooking oil spray onto your baking sheet.

  2. Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits onto a cutting board. Flatten the biscuits by pressing down with your hands to make the "pizza dough".

  3. Use a small spoon to spread a thin layer of tomato sauce onto the dough. Make sure to keep the sauce away from the edges of the mini-pizza so that it doesn't sop over when you bake it.

  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella on top of the tomato sauce. Don't overdo it or you might end up with melted cheese everywhere.

  5. Add a few pieces of diced pepperoni to your mini-pizzas.

  6. Lift the mini-pizzas off the cutting board and place them onto the baking sheet about one to two inches apart.

  7. Carefully put the baking sheet into the oven. Bake for 8 minutes and then check to see if the cheese is melted and the edges are golden. If not, check back every two minutes until your mini-pizzas are done.

Yield: However many biscuits were in the can.

Just as with any pizza, you can do many variations of this recipe. My favorite is pesto pizza, where the tomato sauce is swapped for pesto sauce.

Enjoy!

*This recipe was not meant to promote or advertise the particular brand of biscuits in any way. I just like them.
