PPT Survivor is a game in the No Nutritional Value board, based on the hit Television series “Survivor.� The TV show has been seen in many different countries and is famous for making contestants do difficult and demanding challenges then vote off their tribe mates in the attempt to become the only Survivor.

Originally the game was run by Ziggy but after he moved it to his own forum, Qanda stepped in and ran a new game. Signups were over in only 2 days and an amazing 24 people had expressed their interest in joining. The game started 1 day later on the 25th of January and two tribes were created. Each tribe’s first challenge was to choose a name for their tribe and to select a tribe leader. Thus Tribe Valentia with leader amarise and Tribe Hakunamatata with leader Ziggy were created, and the games began!

The tribes battled it out with each other to solve the vital immunity and reward challenges first. The challenges ranged from looking up certain pets on Neopets to setting a logic puzzle for the other tribe to complete. At the end of each challenge tribes were to vote out 1 or 2 of their tribe mates, depending on whether they had won the immunity challenge or not. The challenges grew increasingly more difficult as the game went on and many people were asked to leave.

Qanda threw in some twists to liven the game up and the person voted ‘Most Valuable Tribe Member’ from each tribe was asked to leave their original tribe and work for the opposing tribe. Another twist to this was that at the Tribal Council, tribe mates were asked to vote off 1 or 2 members of the opposite tribe instead of voting out their own tribe mates.

Shortly after this, on February 13th Qanda announced that the tribes were now merged. Instead of working together as a tribe, the 9 tribe mates were now to work alone to try and complete the challenges first. The first person to complete the immunity challenges was guaranteed immunity from the tribal council. Any tribe members voted off now would join the commentary thread and become the Tribal Jury.

Eventually the numbers were whittled down to 3 contestants, o_0, Twizzler0171 and Matt. The last immunity challenge consisted of 3 parts, which involved a quiz for the final part. Amazingly enough, Twizzler0171 and o_0 managed to tie and it was down to Matt to provide the tiebreaker. When asked what would he take with him if he were stranded on a desert island, he chose to take 20 books, o_0 predicted Matt’s choice correctly and thus won the challenge.

Then it was down to o_0 to choose whom to take with him into the final. He decided to take Twizzler0171.

The 2 finalists now have to await the tribal jury’s decision about who will be the ultimate Survivor. While they are waiting though I managed to catch up with them for a quick interview.

xjox - Why did you decide to join survivor?

o_0 - I joined Survivor because I am an avid fan of the game, and I thought it would be a fun thing to do to pass the time. I honestly never thought I could get this far in it.

Twizzler0171 - For fun, mainly. Plus Scott hadn't started Werewolf for about a week by then, so I was bored.

xjox - What have you enjoyed most about the game so far?

o_0 - I have loved the way that Qanda has designed the challenges. I think that they were very well thought out, and covered a diversity of skills.

Twizzler0171 - It definitely made me two new friends. Playing it was fun as well. And picking on Qanda was fun... possibly the best part!

xjox - How do you feel now that you are in the final?

o_0 - I am just happy that the voting is out of my hands, and that I don't have to do any more challenges. It feels very surreal, as I never thought I'd make it past the merge.

Twizzler0171 - Surprised. I definitely didn't expect to make it very much farther past the merge, if I made it there at all. So being in the final two was like... Wow.

xjox - Would you play again if there was a survivor 2?

o_0 - I probably would, because I love the game a lot, and I think it would be very fun.

Twizzler0171 - Definitely! I had too much fun! Plus, Kugetsu said he was going to be playing... yet another game we could possibly bet an alliance on.

The results for PPT Survivor are due any day now, so keep an eye on the board to see who emerges as the ultimate Survivor, this PPTer will be doing just that.
