"Simon Says", what's that? Well, appearing in various issues of PI will be a small segment I like to call "Simon Says". Its sole purpose is to bash the artists we love and hate. Or was it love to hate? Anyway, let's start with the bashing.
Lindsay Lohan
This girl could not sing if her life depended on it. I am so sick of stupid actors or singers thinking they can do both singing and acting. You either can do one or the other. Rarely you will find someone who can do both well. But let's carry on with this fake pop icon.
You may remember Lindsay Lohan from movies such as "Freaky Friday" or "Mean Girls" and her so-called wonderful acting. Yes, I'll give her credit. She can act. But one thing she cannot do is, you're right, you guessed it, sing! While listening to the song, you tend to notice the lyrics. All this little priss is singing about or whining about is getting attention.
I'm tired or rumors starting,
I'm sick of being followed,
I'm tired of people saying what they want about me
You're sick of being followed? Than don't go to public events and call disabled children retarded, genius. And I suppose those breast implants were in no way a means to get attention. Oh wait, they're "natural".
I gotta say respectfully,
I would love it if you take the camera off of me
Isn't it ironic she is singing this while (in her video) she is about to take a picture of a guy? And isn't she walking through the club taking pictures in her video? Honestly, don't make your actions contradict yourself.
We've all heard of her fight or cat fight with Hilary Duff. This is because of a stupid non-successful male pop icon Aaron Carter. Honestly, doesn't she have anything better to do than fight over that loser? To put it in laymen turns, Hilary is nice and Lindsay isn't.
Too bad Lindsay, you should've sticked being a good role model to younger girls and not dress like a slut. Boo.
Green Day
Oh yes, I'm going to be bombed with hate mail but honestly, this band has been peeving me.
First of all, how many albums did it take for this good for nothing band to become popular? Was it four? They should've quit after the first one and whined about America at some convention where someone cares. Anywho, back to their "music". At first, Green Day was a standable band but now, they're way too overplayed and they don't know their own meaning to their songs.
Can anyone care to explain why the hell is there green liquid spraying everywhere in the video "American Idiot"? Oh wait, it's a cheap video. 11 videos before this one and they're still making crap, good for nothing videos. Also, the lead singer seems to have had a tune up. He used to be old looking and fat. Now he's thin and young looking. I guess they must've revamped him as well as their crap music to crappier.
Their new video, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", makes no sense. How can you walk alone besides two other people and a street full of people? I guess we know who's the American idiot here.
All in all, Green Day are the only American idiots in the music industry, next to almost everyone.
Lloyd Banks
Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet your rap male stereotype. Gangsta yo!
Honestly, can this guy rap about something good for once? We don't care if you're so "fly" because we hope once you do "fly", you get shot down. "I'm so Fly" is the stupidest song in the world. Throwing money at the camera and dancing like a country singer isn't going to help your career at all. His song is a cover of a previous hit song, "NaNaNaNaNaNa!". This is exactly what we need in the industry, another self-involved celebrity who only cares about money and the bling bling.
Better luck next time Lloyd. Come back when people actually appreciate your music. Wait, no one does and ever will. Boo hoo.
