It is cute. I think they must have shaved it a bit in places to achieve the mane down the back, then dyed that part.

I think it is actually considered animal abuse in some areas to dye a dog. Well I've heard of people who dye their animals pink or other colors using natural dyes like beat juice or something like jello or kool-aide.

If you plan to dye a dog, I'd check what the rules are for that in your area.
