When you go to transfer and put in a user's name, a new screen comes up and asks you if you if you would like to exchange your pet for one of the users pets.

You click a link and get taken to a page with the other users pets and the amount of neopoints that you need for the exchange.

This hopefully will stop the scamming of pets.

I like the little blurb of "if accepted, this will count as [otherguy's] transfer for the month". Implies that if some newbie I don't know tries to trade their basic pet for my nice pet, if I reject I don't waste my transfer. (Or was it already like that?)

Nice idea, but I don't really have any plans for trading. I just borrow an av pet a month, and the av pets I loan are on other accounts. So *meh*.

Wow. This is pretty cool! It means that those of us that already have 4 pets can now actually trade out pets directly should we want to.

Ooh, that is very cool. It's about time they worked on something like this. No more people grabbing pets being transferred. Can you only transfer one for another, though? Hmm, I guess if you wanted to move one to a side account and not trade, you'd have to adopt a pet there, trade for the pet you wanted, and then put the adopted pet back in the pound from the account you traded your pet from. Still interesting.

Actually, when they reopened the pound they added a safe transfer option, so you can send pets to other accounts...

They'd better add an option to block exchange requests... I can just see people trying to trade pets without asking the other person first, which could get just as (or more) annoying than random neofriend requests. That said, I can see this as quite useful for swapping about side account pets, especially if one or both have 4 pets already.

There is an option available in Preferences that will allow you to block transfers from other people Also, you will still only be able to transfer once per month (I have a screenie on PPT homepage)

That's pretty cool as well. I haven't touched the pound since it went down as I mostly just game. Maybe I'll start labbing again then.
