Heh, I suppose this is TNT's way of controlling the scams... If you type the words "this is not a scam" in a post, it actually posts as "THIS IS A SCAM! REPORT ME!" Funny thing is, to you, it looks like what you typed. It only shows up to other people reading your posts! I tested it, logged out of my main account, posted it, logged back in, and sure enough, there it was. It looked like I posted "THIS IS A SCAM!" Wonder how long this has been going on?

It has done that for quite a while now. That is why you see a lot of "This is a scam report me!"

I always knew it came out that way...
But I had no idea that the poster didn't see it. Lol. No wonder they don't understand why people say 'ok, I'll report you'
:P

I never knew that the person posting that couldn't see the filter either! I just thought they were being obtuse or deliberately ignoring it. That filter's been around a long time. I love it!

It's like if you try to type bikini - the filters catch it and write cardigan. Or Jelly World, that will turn into other worlds for everyone else. Wonders if the original poster on those still sees Jelly World?

Of course testing the filters is not a good idea, ever. People have gotten warnings for doing that and some words will get you frozen immediately. (No bots, remember?)

Now, all we need is a chain letter filter, oh please let us have one of those! It could pick up the type this 10 times phrase. The boards and tp would be much tidier places without those!

I think the filter is funny :) And for some reason, a while back, every time I tried to type "mate" on the neoboards it turned into "fish"

I've known about it for some time, but like a lot of other people I didn't know the poster didn't see it. Hahah, nice little trick there.

I rarely ever go to the neoboards so I didn't know that it came up like that. Even if I had known I wouldn't have realized it was invisible to the poster. I find that very amusing!
