Met anyone noteworthy lately? My mom once made me stand in line with her for two hours to get Carly Simon's signature.I also shook the hand of the new president of Harvard.

Not-me encounters:my mom gave up a parking space for Michael J. Fox and one of my classmates met Jojo at an Abercrombie and Fitch--and has the pictures to prove it.

I met Eddie Murphy in a casino in the Bahamas a couple years back. He was pretty nice.

Our former governer(ousted earlier this year) visited my workplace last week. Too bad I didn't like him at all.

There was someone who was on the same bus as me at one time... apparently he was from Big Brother. I has no clue. But my friends were all hysterical. o_O
Er, no one, other than that.

I've danced with David and Carrie Grant at an awards ceremony thing. They were very cool indeed. I've also met Roy Wood from Wizard.

Oh and I ran into the band Drowning Pool whilst very drunk at 3am in a kebab shop after going clubbing. They were extremely cool and gave me and my best friend Cat VIP passes to their next gig in return for a Cadbury's creme egg. :)

I once ate a bagel at a table next to Leslie Neilsen (he visits my hometown every so often, or at least he used to).

I've met Dennis DeYoung from Styx, who at one point was the coolest man alive.

I almost stepped on Bob Costas once - he's very short, it's easy to do.

My sister works for Rough Trade UK and has met pretty much everyone signed to them and others besides (That I can name off the top of my head- Richard Hawley, Jervis Cocker, The super furry Animals..)

My -Undeniably tenuous- connection to al this extends beyond her being my sister, oh yes!
I got forwarded an email from Richard Hawley.
o_O
Amusing Pictures, as I recall.

I've met the band Moxy Fruvous before, many, many years ago. Other than that, I can't think of anyone important that I've had the opportunity to meet.

At an airport in Croatia some years ago, I sat at the same café as ER's "Luka" (Goran something) and his wife.

Other than that, none.

It was really more a group effort. Our firework though.
