I would probably use a time machine to change some of the things I did in the past - like maintain friendships better, maybe become a real hippie, stay in school longer to learn more things, etc.

I would go back and push scientists/engineers to invent cars that run on water or air. Then come back in the future and find that bottled water and bottle air costs $100 a pop.
