My last name serves as my nickname since it sounds like a 'rap' term.

That isn't fair.. thats mine! Sort of.. I get called Rissy instead mostly. XP My dad also calls me Tawny.. first it was only our Amazon parrot, then all of our birds, then all of our pets, and then I guess it translated to us too.. it started because we once saw a Tawny Frog Faced Owl. XD

Morningstar wrote:A very good friend calls me Star. But because he chose that nickname specifically for me, I would feel sort of funny if anyone else called me that. My daughter's nickname for me (at least to my face anyway) is "OH, MOM"--spoken in a loud voice and with just the right amount of disgust tossed in. ;)

Haha. :p

(Toadie! xD)

Someone tried to call me Bambi for a while ... didn't quite work out lol.

I was called Lefty in grade 5 for a while cause I fractured my left wrist trying to do back flips without hands on athletics day.

Monkeyface, Rach, Rachel Bird, Dervish, Lune, Shorty, Shazbot, Moonie, Pooty Pie, and Princess Rowdypants. Okay, I admit I made that last one up.

Gil(pronounced Jill but spelled like that so it doesn't look like gill like what fish have :P) is pretty much the only nickname I've got... except for one friend who calls me gillywater XD

Most of the lovely ladies I know have taken to calling me Mattie. But other than that, Matt or Matthew is what goes.

These days it's mostly just any of a million variants on Pudding, mostly. Oddly enough, I started calling myself Pudding online long before people in real life called me that.

Other than that, people who have known me for at least 8 years are allowed to call me Chrissie. A few people who have known me for that long call me Fluffy after the dog from Harry Potter.

Occasionally Moongewl and I make up weird nicknames for each other and swear we're going to use those forever, but we never remember them. :P

I have several nicknames, some of which aren't postable here. However, Scodog is one I get a lot, as well as several variations of "Captain [wow the language filter got this one too]." I'm also called "Admiral 80's" because of my odd taste in music. Finally, the more academically inclined students in my class call me "231" because we refer to each other by our PSAT scores:

"Hey, 227, how's it going?"

"Great, 231, thanks for asking!"

TIMMY B.! (literally, the caps are needed. It's only said while screaming. >_>)

T-Dawg

I don't particularly like either, but that's what people call me anyway, though they're stereotypical jocks and gangstas. >_>

My family calls me Shills, Shilly or Ayshilly, which I have no idea how they got to from Ayse. My friends at school call me Aysh, which is kinda hard to explain how to pronounce. Its like saying Eyesha without the "a" at the end. I don't really have any online names, most people just called me by my first name.

Nicknames, huh? Well it's almost impossible to get a decent nickname from my three-lettered-name, Ida. Of course, many have despereately tried to come up with one, and make it stick, but in the end these nicknames are forgotten and become MYTHS.
Well, off hand, these are some of the nicknames I remember: Idda, Aida, Iduli and Iidu. In English they sound a bit weird; they are more suited for the Finnish mouth :P
Anyhow, I don't dislike the nicknames or anything, Idda sounds even cool, but duh, why call me something that actually takes longer to pronounce than my real name.

*short name complexity*
