For those topics one could describe as the forum equivalent of a twinkie. Word games, forum contests and giveaways are all the rage here.

Worse: super-arrogent physicist that knows everything (no, wrong answer), or an ignorant fool that knows nothing? Choose wisely or face divine/quantum retribution.
Well, lacking only the "physicist" from the first person's description, I'd have to say ignorant fool.
Being killed by a giant tooth, or being killed by a giant dentist?
Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:53 pm
Dentist - cos they're supposed to be nice!
What's worse - losing one glove or not having any?
Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:57 pm
Losing one. If I'm unlucky and I happen to have an umbrella with me, people will think I'm a pedifile. (I know I spelled that wrong...)
Nice neighbor's house is destroyed, or office destroyed?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 2:00 am
House.
Worse leader: a president with his head up his butt on all policy issues and is only making things worse as time goes on, or a president that commits a few moral infidelities but still is able to help his people?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:51 am
The first one.
Nuclear war or Yellowstone volcanic eruption?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 6:18 am
Although I'm more certain I'd die from Yellowstone due to locality, I say Nuclear War is worse since I'm a paranoid physicist and not a paranoid geologist, although both will put an end to global warming
Worse Occupation IX: Darth Vader's human punching bag, or natural growth source for Captain Kirk's hair piece?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:38 pm
Punching Bag. Owwies.
Worst way to die: Beheaded, or shot to death?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 9:44 pm
Shot. Death isn't instant.
Worse gaming scenario: Stuck on the first level of the N Game for a week, or beating Seraph Sephiroth and having your Playstation explode?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:08 pm
Well, since a literal explosion would probably conclude with a fire, burning down my house, and besides the fact that you lose the Playstation... Sephiroth burning your house down would be significantly worse.
Falling off 10 stories onto pavement, or falling off 100 stories onto soft rubber?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:21 pm
Neither, they would both probably kill you, but the 10 stories is probably the faster one.
Not Showering for 4 days and having a job interview or having your interviewer (and possible future boss) smell like they havn't showered in 4 days.
Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:43 pm

First one - cos if the boss smells bad it's easier to nickname them.
WW - reading only the beginning and middle of a book or the middle and end only?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 10:49 pm
beginning and middle; most books have very slow beginnings.
Not knowing anyone, or having to correspond with everyone?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 11:42 pm
Not knowing anyone.
Worse statement of the obvious: Magus in the 4th panel of
this comic, or (paraphrasing from one of my physics books) 'These variables can vary.'?
Wed Feb 01, 2006 11:46 pm
Varying variables.
Not getting to major in your favorite subject, or having to major in your least favoriter subject?
Thu Feb 02, 2006 5:21 am
Not becoming a physicist would devastate me, but having to major in English would be pure H-E-double hockey sticks. (Note: both my dad and brother are english majors. Poor crazy idiots

)
Worse 'un-cola': Sprite (yes), 7-up, or Sierra Mist?
