This strange rock formation must have been uncovered during the earthquake. Funny how it looks like a spire poking out of the rubble. Rock formations don't normally do that.
What could it be? We're guessing now is a good time to wait for the proper authorities. There could even be a digging crew. Nomadic digging crews love this kind of thing.
I haven't had a RE yet. Although my browser will probably stop it, the original old RE that shakes the screen gets blocked, so I think these new ones will as well.

If you view the source code of the Mysterious Site, you can find instructions for an activity - Log-in, sign-up, digging, take a break, punch-out, mounds, and a few others, but with the NC in the url, it looks like this part will be the NC Mall section.
As long as the NC part doesn't keep people from qualifying for the top trophies or prizes, I don't really care.
And you're really lucky, Daze; the SHH is very annoying. And very frequent. (Both messages, the one about the pillar of light and the earthquake one, shake the screen.) I'm surprised you didn't at least get the pop-up, though, even if the screen didn't shake.

I wonder how this will play out. Maybe something is causing the earthquakes so we have to defeat whatever is causing it? Or maybe the spire is part of a new world that will be uncovered with the new plot, along with a redesign of Tyrannia. So many possibilities.

You can check in 10 times with 30 minutes in between (start to start), Blue. Go at xx:14:45, dig, refresh at xx:15:00, and dig again. Still will take 5 hours, but only half as many log-ins.
Wait, were we supposed to get items for digging? I don't think I did... If you don't get one each time, this will take even longer... Sheesh. Never mind; I got a rotten omelette sandwich. I had just gone fishing, so I assumed it was a fishing prize, but there are 5 fishing prize items and I only have 4 pets. Phew.
ETA: I feel like I did in TFR, when it seemed like we shouldn't be doing what we were doing. That thing we're unearthing may not be friendly.

I just got a Duocorn from digging. Now I'm wondering if the items we dig already existed or if they're new, created for the dig, or if it's a mix of the two.
Chivewarrior, all the items I got already existed. And I've won a duocorn from one of the Tyrannian wheels before, so I know that one's not new. That doesn't mean there aren't any new items, of course. The NC ones are new, I've heard. (You can buy a 14-day ticket to dig once/day for a special item; today's was a background. I think this is a reasonable way to integrate NC into the plot; not spending the NC doesn't exclude me from any activities, it just means I won't get the fancy items.)
