Lately I've noticed that sometimes my pets load up slowly. When my pet's picture loads up, I see the eyes and then parts of the body slowly load up, followed by the clothing and background. Well it isn't that slowly..but anyway slow enough. Slow enough that I can tell that pets load in pieces.

Now if pets load in pieces, I got to thinking..why can't they be built?

A while back Neopets started a Dr. Sloth Plot. I think they still saved the artwork. It is probably on their servers. Maybe they want to finish this plot one day.

Anyway, I don't know how it would have ended.

But I do know it involved Dr. Sloth mining some ore on Kreludor. And there were robots there. And some other neopets were trying to stop him.

I figured a good ending to the plot could involve Dr. Sloth trying to construct Robots. He would want to construct the ultimate fighting robot. He would mine some ore and he'd construct a lot of parts. He'd experiment a while until he had perfected his design.

We could fight his design and then in the end, we'd discover that all the unwanted robot parts had been scattered all over Neopia. Some had been stolen, some thrown away, and some parts scavenged and being used for flower pots or other weird purposes by people in Altador or other places.

Anyway, you could find parts or buy them. Some parts would be rare. Some robot heads would be thrown away for being too cute. Dr. Sloth would be thinking to himself "What was I thinking making this thing?" Then some heads would be menising, but maybe the heads didn't work well with the final robot, and were left on the shelf, discarded, stolen or whatever.

So if you wanted to make a robot, you'd have to have a space for it as your neopet.

Then you'd start trying to get a head or other parts. It wouldn't matter really what parts you wanted to try to get first. Basically you'd need a head, arms, torso, and legs, wheels, etc. You'd need a certain number of parts to build a robot. When you had enough parts you could access a place on the site (similar to the fungus cave or draik nest) and you'd construct your robot and name it. It would be your pet. They could make a lot of head and arms and stuff. Then your robot might look really weird, based on the parts you got for it!
Your robot could be different from anyone else's robot if you got a rare combination of stuff.


I realize that a robot is really different and will not really look like a neopet. But maybe they could make it pet-like. So instead of what you may be imagining, a traditional huminoid type thing, they could make it pet like somehow.
