I can confirm the YYB, SOSD, and MSN caps personally. I only managed 53 SlSl games today. Maybe tomorrow? Though that one made my hands hurt the most today... And I'm working longer tomorrow (but might be able to sneak in some plays during work, so who knows?).

I didn't play any on my phone because SOSD is so much slower on my phone, but maybe... I think that's the only one I can manage on my phone.

Picked my staff team (partly to make sure I do not forget). Senior Malo is gone along with at least another player, so a couple of new players this year. I chose no new staff players for my 1st round team. Will wait to see how the newbies do in round 1...

My 2023 round 1 team: Dingo, Weirdough, Unknown, Binary Supagoo, and KikoKat

Thanks, Blue! The deadline is "before" Tuesday, so I'll try to pick mine on bye day (based on last year's performances). Hopefully I remember!

I'm already at rank 14. Should reach AS before bye day.

I am surprised you did not say, "by bye day." That would have been amusing :P

I have managed only a few games of each. Playing any of them from my "remote Neopets computer" is impossible due to lag. I am also getting a "WebGL is required to run this application" error in Firefox and I have not yet found a way to make this work. MSN works "ok" in Firefox, but it looks weird. SOSD also works, but looks really weird with chunks missing. SS works properly.

YYB Works fine on Chrome, but I would greatly prefer to not use Chrome on this computer at lunchtime for Neopets.

Today's a bye day. Apparently they left the coding for when we'd play each day in place, even though they started on a different day of the week. So who knows what the schedule will be.

I hit All Star this morning. Woohoo!

(Having more reasonable caps is making me feel like I should try to actually hit them in three of the games... I thought it was supposed to make me play less, not more!)

I went with the same team Blue did - they had the most consistent scores from last year. Very sad to see no more Senor Malo (as he was usually one of my picks), but I guess we knew that was coming since he left around this time last year, IIRC. :(

Dingo and Weirdough, Unknown and KikoKat, Binary Supagoo, with Binary Supagoo as the star player.

I very nearly forgot! Thanks, P! I figure you and Blue did some research, so I copied your picks (except with Kikocat as star player). Thanks for the reminder!

"Research" You give me far too much credit. My research was pretty much "Hmm.. Last year's team was good... who did I have... ah, ok... Whups, some of them are gone. I'll pick these instead. They did alright last year."

That's pretty much what I did, Blue. Which was the next best for the ones that I no longer had.

Also, a little tickled that the Rooligans gave Kreludor their first loss this cup. :P

Sure it was just a few games, but still.

Okay... so that's... times 4... carry the 7... ah! Given your chosen team's performance, you've earned yourself 5446 Neopoints!
....sooooo I'm looking at some of the scores for this year and I'm wondering...WTH?!

In the past, scores over 2760 have been few and far between That is to say, there have been 3 in total. One year, Ehlo Froyo scored 3045 her first week but then was in the low 1000s the next 3 weeks and several years ago Kikocat got a 3140 and then 3410 the last two weeks.

AND YET, there are 4 new staff members this year and THREE of them scored well over 2900?!

o_O

Best scoring team week 1:
Dingo (2370), Fae (3230), Ivy (3128), Kikocat (2390), Willow (2910)
Star Player: Ivy

If we had the same team, why is the score different?

Weirdough out. Ivy in.
Unknown out. Fae in.
Expecting Supagoo to step up

Star player Fae

I can't remember how many NP I got now, but I think it's the same as Blue...

Chose the best players from last round for the next one, keeping kikocat as star player.

That way I don't forget to pick.
