Welcome to the first of our latest installment of the Monthly Art Competition.

You all voted and the results were dead even between "Hand-Drawn Art" and "Short Story". So I traveled to the randomizer and asked that it bestow a good fate upon the Monthly Art Competition.

The Monthly Art Competition for the month of September is.....

*drum roll*

HAND-DRAWN ART!

Rules:

1. All artwork submitted must be your own work. Anyone caught copying a work from someone else will be banned from the Monthly Art Competition and there may be more serious consequences around the forum.

2. All artwork should be submitted by PM to May. Only entries that are scanned or photographed will be accepted.

3. All entries are due by Thursday, September 25. All entries will be posted on Friday, September 26 with winners being announced on Tuesday, September 30. There will be two winners for each competition. One winner will be decided by the members of the forum and another winner will be decided by members of the staff.

Is there a particular preference for colors?

As to whats been said as far as I can tell there is no preference towards any one medium or color (or lack thereof). So long as it's hand done, no problemo.

My dear friend Inrun is right No preferences at all for this opening round! And if there are any questions as to whether something is considered "hand-drawn", just send me a PM and we'll have a little chat

On the note of being hand drawn, say if I scan my image, am I allowed to change the color values using photoshop so that they look more like the real colors of the drawing?

(I frequently have to do this because my scanner is the devil).
