So has anyone noticed a new golden balloon? I play the game a lot (still trying to get the avatar) and I've never seen it before today. Maybe it was jsut really rare, but I've seen it like 6 times today. I think it gives a x10 bonus.

I can confirm in seeing it and hitting it. I think they made a change to the game, but it seems to be a little buggy since they added that gold balloon in.
If you hit the gold balloon and miss, it gives you 10 points bonus (as compared to 5 on the red).
If you hit the gold balloon and also manage to hit the board, it gives a 35 point bonus (as compared to 30 on the red).
All times that I've seen the gold balloon, it's INSANELY close to the target. IE, it's right next to it, as compared to being roughly halfway in between the target and you like the red one is.

Yeah, I agree about the buggy thing. I've actually had both balloons on the screen at one time, right next to the target and basically unhittable.

I managed to hit the gold balloon and the target by putting the angle on max and then shooting at slightly greater power than I would if I hadn't adjusted the angle. The balloons were more frequent today -- two gold and two red (though none at the same time) in one game.

What does the gold ballon do? I havn't spotted one yet.

Has anyone seen the critter with the apple on his head? He showed up once instead of the bullseye. Of course I missed it. What does it score?

I Finally got the avatar tonight!
Very lucky game. I had both the red and gold balloons together and managed to hit the target for a giant bonus. Honestly don't remember how much, but I wound up with a final score of 132!

This new version is very very buggy, though. Twice I've managed a bullseye on my last shot and both times I did not get the bonus shots. It sets up the next shot and immediately drops down the "game over" square.

they stated in friday's editorial that they'll take a look at it. don't hold your breath though! but yeah you're supposed to get 3 more shots if u get a bullseye on the last shot.

I hate the fact that the NP ratio went down drastically. It now has a 6.49 ratio and I think originally it was a 26 to 1 ratio. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So, now if you score a 30, you'll get 195 NP's. Before you could get 780 with a score of 30.

they'll change it up again on, I think, Monday. I forget the exact date now when they make game point ratio changes, but IIRC it's been around the 23rd or 24th of each month for the last three.
