now, when buying music from itunes, what format does it come in? are you able to transfer it to a CD or flashdrive or something or, not? o_O

I'm not sure if you can burn it to CD. I DO know that you can authorize up to 5 other computers to use the MP3 file, but I don't know how that works because I've never bought anything from the music store :P

It comes in Apple's absolutely wonderful and brilliant AAC format. [/sarcasm]

If you want to transfer the songs via flashdrive, you have to make sure you have iTunes on the other computers, and authorize them. The other option is to burn the songs to an MP3 CD, then rip them off onto a different computer as MP3, so you don't need iTunes and you don't need to authorize the other computer. I do it that way because my computer is allergic to iTunes.

I don't have an ipod. I think that they are evil. But I do have a 512 MB CREATIVE mp3. It hold up to 40 hours of music, which is enough for me. I also use it to record the songs that I need for choir and lectures in class. Its usefull like that. Its also smaller and lighter than an ipod and gets the radio.

Well, I don't have an IPod, but I would love having an IPod LoL, any kind, just so I could listen to music easily anywhere I go.

Maybe they meant it has 40 hours of play back time.

I don't have one and I'm going to keep it that way :P

teachers at our school take them when they notice you have one and then listen to all music that's on it, resulting in an empty battery ^_^

though it could be handy when riding my bycicle (it's half an hour riding my bike every morning and I could use some music on that ride)

Nope. I have a 1 GB Sandisk mp3 player though. It records lectures well (but nothing loud, which sucked for me when I was at the Coldplay concert), and it's got a radio in there. The battery life is good enough for me too, 15 hours. The one downside is that it plays my mp3s a little too fast, which in turn makes them sound a little higher-pitched- very annoying, but it'll suffice.

I have the exact same as you, except it's 512m. I don't have many radio stations araound here, though. :( :( ... oh well. :P <3

yes, it does, until you have hundreds of CDs, at which point it's near impossible to replace the ones that get broken/scratched/stepped on/thrown/lost/stolen/whatever.

Nope. Don't have one, don't want one. I'm holding out for an MP3 player. I don't see the point in getting an Ipod, as they're a money trap. I don't want to have to buy songs to put on one, I'll just hook my MP3 player to my computer and load my cds one there. Plus, a daughter of someone my mom works with got a new Ipod, and the screen blew up. It just blew up all of sudden, and its not like she damaged it. She treats her Ipods well. With Ipods, you're always having to buy new batteries and songs for them, its too much hassle.
