I think it's about a family who's cursed so they turn into different animals of the zodiac when you hug them, but I'm not entirely sure.

I just know that it's boring as hell.

I'm currently reading the manga (since I tend not to rent). It is a pretty good series. Not as fast paced as the other romantic-comedies I like more, but still a very good and very well written. The art makes me think Gundam Wing a lot (all of the guys look like Yuy Heero!).

I would recommend it since I love the romantic comedy and have yet to be soured. And this is an opinion from a guy!

Fruits Basket is so wonderful. <3 There is also a thread already on it here. If you wish to discuss it, feel free to reply to that thread. :)

Just a summary:

Fruits Basket is about a girl who has lost her mother and tries to live on her own in a tent until she is taken in by the Sohma family. This family is under a curse where if those under the curse are hugged by a member of the opposite gender or become weak, they will turn into their zodiac animal. Each character has their strengths and weaknesses they have to contend with and overcome and it's a truly endearing story. :)

It's one of mine and my girls' favorite anime/manga. ^.^
