LICE!!!

#1 Post by theonlysaneone »

Today, my brother found lice in his hair. Then my sister. It turns out everyone in my 8-member family has them, and it's a NIGHTMARE. We have to get all of the sheets, clothes, pillows, everything, and wash them. We have to do all these complicated treatments, and are going to be up the whole night. Also, my mom's going to call the school nurse, which will be just downright embarassing. I got lucky, because I don't have it that bad, but my brothers have them falling out of their heads. It's awful.

Oh, that sounds terrible! Sad thing is, it only takes one person to spread it.

Oh! That is awful! Lice is horrible. I got it from my cousins many years ago. Missed a week of school and got the total embarrassment factor. Had to vacuum seal all of my stuff to kill the little buggers. I wish you best of luck and happy hunting.

That sucks! I've never had it, but I work at a summer camp and one week 3 girls managed to get it, and then the next week one girl came up with it, but we only had to do the second treatment on her since her mom informed us that they had been treating it at home.

But I feel your pain... we did (well, I did) an entire cabins worth of laundry and spent 4 days combing out their hair. With the little girl that came up the next week, I did the treatment and combed out her hair. Seems like summer camp is lice haven.

Eww... Lice?
Eww... *shudder* I had a horse with ringworm once, but that was as close as my families ever really had to parasites. So i'm not of much use... but hey... now when people tell you you've got cooties, you can say proudly that Yes you do...

...

I don't really think thats much of a bonus, but at least it'll freak them out. Good luck with the lice.

Ugh.. I remember when I got lice a long time ago.
I had JUST gotten a perm... then like a week later my cousin gave me lice. And Since they couldn't run that comb through my curly head they had to chop all of my hair off. God I hated that.

Lice are such a pain in the butt.

Ugh, lice. >_< A family friend of ours had lice once when she was a child, and her mother made her dip her hair into kerosene several times. Imagine all those little black specks in there...ewww...

Hopefully you can get everything all clean again soon, especially the furniture and carpets.

I so needed that picture at 6:20 am >_< haha Anyway lice sucks, but I've never had it so no help. Though I do remember the teacher saying that you had to wash pratically everything to get rid of it. I think my cousins had it once but I stayed away from them so I didn't get it :) Good luck with getting rid of it!

D: Not pleasent... When I was in Darwin it was so bad Lice was never erradicated... Every week we had to de-lice our hair, which was uncomfortable (and sometimes painful with dodgy lice treatments >_<)... As soon as they were gone they came back...

Funny, When I moved, they just... Dissapeared... They don't like the cold :D...

Aww...I want one!

Oh, wait, no I don't.

We had a lice epidemic in 1st grade, but I didn't have it then. Really, small bugs crawling around on my head wouldn't bother me too much....There're probably worse things living in my room....

Good luck getting rid of it >_<

I've never had lice, but it does sound horrible. My niece has had it all the time, though.
Maybe I'm lucky I'm homeschooled...

Oh yeah... I remember when one of my cousins got it.
He had a "rattail" and the lice were ALL in the hair.. I mean they were so thick in his hair you could see clumps of them falling out. It was freaking gross.
