What Are YOUR Gas Prices?

According to georgiagasprices.com, our lowest prices are $2.46USD a gallon and highest prices are $3.99 a gallon (which is probably false, but who knows).

And the high gas prices are bad for my family. My dad's a truck driver, and he once told me that it takes over $100 to fill up his tank. That was a few years ago, so he's probably paying a lot more than that now.

95(the lowest) - 101(highest) cents a litre. That's canadian though, but it's absolutely crazy.

They're usually around $2.50, $2.60 in my area. Depends on where the gas station is in relation to a highway. They generally charge more near those.

My car runs on premium, so I had to pay over $3 USD per gallon. And thanks, Stijn, for generalizing Americans once again. Perhaps there are those out there who have enough money to burn and they can afford these prices (or use their cash as fuel), but my family and many others are not. I've stopped driving my car (mainly because I don't need it for college) and I'm glad that it's costing less for my family.

I'm poor enough that $2.90 is a lot for me and my family. And you'd be surprised at how poor a lot of 'average' Americans are. So don't go dissing us because we're complaining. A lot of us do have reason to do so.

Considering how strange it is for North Americans to have high gas prices like this, we're allowed to complain. There are quite a few things I could buy cheaper throughout Europe that I can't get here in Canada. So don't go snarling at us. As well, a lot of us aren't exactly "wealthy" I live under the poverty line when i'm at school. So gas is just one more expense i've got to add to things like food, and text books. So yes, I think I am allowed to complain about high gas prices.

To me it seems like people complaining about how they don't like their food because it looks awful, when there are people on the other side of the world who don't have food.

Sure you're allowed to complain, because you're not used to anything else. But I still think you shouldn't complain, because clearly, people have it worse.

But hey if you can't afford to pay these low prices, feel free to complain.

How am I generalising? I'm assuming that the average American isn't so poor that $3,- per whatever is a lot. But then again, American cars use a lot more gas than say, Japanese/European cars.

People out there who have enough money to burn? "Burn"? They don't have a choice, the gas here just isn't that cheapas in the US. How are they 'burning' money by spending it on something they need?

But then again, you need cars in most places in the US because the country can't even provide itself with good public transport.

We're at around $1.28 a litre, so I think that's around $5 a gallon? It's not too bad, but I remember when gas was around 50 cents a litre. XD

Europeans countries are generally tax-happy. Most European drivers give 60% to the government, however, in Britain, they take 75% and raise taxes 5% about inflation, however, this year it forgone because of the high prices of diesel.

Another fact: Around 40% of cars are diesel, only 4% of American cars are. Given because diesel is generally cheaper to run.

$5 a gallion here ( Israel ). Very expensive, gas prices seem to be a big issue here now.

Yes, you are generalising. You're assuming that $40 for a tank of gas isn't a lot to most Americans, and your assuming that Americans are just whining because they have to pay higher gas prices when they can easily pay it.

Some of us can't afford $3.00 for a gallon of gas and afford other necessities such as food, clothing, and shelter. :roll:

Especially when a tank is being filled every other day, and you're barely riding above the poverty line at the same time. So yeah, unless you know what you're talking about, I would advise you not to even attempt to talk down to others. :roll:

It ranges from $2.90-$3.10 a gallon, but the average is about $2.95 a gallon at the moment.
