A variety of fruit and vegetable Chias.

They will often by chased by Lupes looking for a snack - perhaps because of this, Chias come in a wide range of exclusive fruit and vegetable colours. They have more paint colours than any other Neopet, including Carrot, Blueberry, Apple, and Pea. Many of these fruit and vegetable colours can be obtained by feeding a Chia a Magical Chia Pop. Orange Chias used to be created with an Orange Paint Brush, they now must be made with a Magical Chia Pop. Every time a Chia eats a food, they have a chance of changing colour to desert.

While Strawberry Chias have been featured in past Caption Competitions (#943 and #984), they cannot currently be painted that colour.

The only Chia featured in the Neopets Trading Card Game is Hubrid Nox, who is associated with the elements of Dark and Fire.

Battledome

In the Battledome, Chias have no natural resistances, however they do have six species abilities:
