Chat Program?

did neopets originally have a chat program? on February 18, 2000, the news says, "The chat program now has a block function". does this mean the forums/neoboards used to be called a chat program, or was there originally a chat board instead?--Jacob 22:46, 22 May 2006 (CDT)

I'm not sure, but I can tell you that Round 130 of the Mystery Pic competition was the "Chat Button in the Yellow Bar." (I think it might have been a chatboard, though, because I've never heard of a blocking function on a board.) --Mirmadon 11:13, 3 Jun 2006 (CDT)
