Asparagus is an inside joke within Neopets, as it's a favorite vegetable for Adam Powell, one of the lead creators of the website. There are many asparagus related items, including several weapons, and a Chia can be coloured asparagus as well. Most notable of course is on Neopets birthday, when all neopets are turned into Asparagus Chia.
