==Outside Neopets==

While there are programs you can use outside of Neopets, it should be noted no user is allowed to use outside coding to play the game for them, or to gain an unfair advantage. Players who do so will either be suspended for a period of time or [[Frozen]].


===Mozilla Firefox===

[[Wikipedia:Mozilla Firefox|Mozilla Firefox]] is a web broswer. It has gained popularity with it's easy to use interface, and more advanced options than other Internet browsers. Extensions, or add on programs, can be added to it to change how Firefox displays web pages. For example, some extensions can block banner ads and pop-ups placed within websites, including Neopets.

''ImproveNeo'' began as a [[Wikipedia:Greasemonkey|Greasemonkey]] script being developed by a user within the [http://www.neodaq.info/forum Neodaq Forum]. With the script, users can remove ads, have stocks recommended to them, dynamically look-up [[Shop Wizard]] prices, have the script alert them to under-priced items, and delete user's shop descriptions so as to make buying items easier.

The first version of the script, 0.1, was released to the general public on February 19th 2006. Since then, it has been updated many times, with 0.6 being the latest version.  

At this point, the legality of the program is up in the air. The creator himself [[Talk:ImproveNeo|mentioned]] using the program is risky, as it could get you frozen. (and [[TNT]] knowing about the project would get him in trouble). Until more word is brought forth on how Neopets feels about this, use of the program should be held with caution.

===NeoDaq.xls===

The NeoDaq.xls is an excel spreadsheet created and maintained by the [http://www.neodaq.com/ Neodaq] community that is used to keep track of your neopian [http://www.neopets.com/stockmarket.phtml stock market] portfolio. This comprehensive tool tracks all your buys and sales and calculates numerous statistics making playing the stock market a breeze.  The legality of the spreadsheet was questioned at one point, but was found to be acceptable due to the fact it does not actually automate anything, but only organizes and tracks information.

===Shop.xls===

The Shop.xls is another excel spreadsheet to come out of [http://www.neodaq.com/ Neodaq]. This one, made by abreev8, tracks your shop and SDB making malling much easier. Add a list of items you want to stock in your shop and how many of them you want to keep in stock and the shop.xls will tell you what items you need to buy to refill your shop and much more. This is an invaluable tool to mallers.

Version 2 of this spreadsheet is currently in the works and it promises many more useful features.

*Adds links to your guild, shop, and petpages to the sidebar.
*Adds an inventory button that shows an altered version of the inventry page in a pop up (Only shows item images, no [[sidebar]])
*Shows the jelly world board on the neoboard page
*Lets you change your [[Avatar]] from the SHH
*Lets you turn off fonts.
*Lets you enter custom interests.
*Disables neomail (A Glitch, you must disable grease monkey to use neomail again)

is also known as NeopetsFix.
