Their official user account [http://www.neopets.com/randomfriend.phtml?user=theneopetsteam theneopetsteam] is the only account in which the TNT will official contact users through [[NeoMail]], a fact strengthened all the more with the exploding ''TNT'' [[avatar]] (TNT shares the same abbreviation is [[Wikipedia:Trinitrotoluene|Trinitrotoluene]]), used only by the The Neopets Team. They seem to have a strange obsession with asparagus.

The Neopets Team, on holiday in [[Terror Mountain]], were trapped in the old Ski Lodge by a freak snowstorm. Unable to leave the mansion, one by one the staff members were picked off by a mysterious murderer in their midst until only the murderer and one last staff member survived: [[Maverick]] and [[Beader]] respectively. Before Maverick could come after Beader, she trapped him in a cage. Before the police could arrest him, he exploded, for he was a robotic replica made by a mysterious villain, possibly Dr Sloth. 

Many of the members of the team were "killed off" during the [[Neopets Staff Sacrificers]] and [[Ski Lodge Murder Mystery]].
