When ever I try and sign on to neopets I get the message..

Warning: main(/home/neopets/public_html/template_stuff.inc): failed to open stream: Input/output error in /home/neopets/public_html/template.inc on line 6

Warning: main(): Failed opening '/home/neopets/public_html/template_stuff.inc' for inclusion (include_path='') in /home/neopets/public_html/template.inc on line 6

Is anyone else getting this message or is it just me, and is there anyway to fix it?

I was getting that a few days ago.
I ended up giving up for a day (just a personal choice) and came back after clearing my cache (was having other issues) and a day and it hasn't happened again.

I've been getting the same thing for the past 24 hours at least. Every other site is fine but anything starting http://www.neopets.com is a problem. I've already missed out on one day of the Advent Calendar and none of my sweeps has found anything.

I'm glad I'm not alone - but it seems like it might be virus related.

I couldn't sign in earlier it kept giving me "Cookie Errors". It was weird. But I cleared my cookies and it let me log in. -shrug-

I dont think its virus related...I've been getting this since the lost desert plot started, but it just seems like a problem with the neopets servers and interacting with firefox. Does it just constantly say this, or does neopets sometimes work?

As I said, it's a permanent thing. The clock is upto 36 hours and I haven't been able to get on once. Oh, and I don't use firefox.

It just looks like a bit of template code where a needed file is missing/not accessible, and it is chucking an error. A refresh should get rid of it as it is a server error... I really have no idea why you would get it every time. It has nothing to do with browsers, certainly not viruses - it's a server side error and a pretty simple one at that.

It would be helpful if when anyone gets the error if they could copy it and send in a bug report saying when & where it occurred, perhaps if/when they fix it based on other peoples evidence it will be fixed for you as well o_O

I've downloaded Firefox, and can now load the pages - when I block it's cookies. Now I just get logged out the page after I put in my password. Great fun. I've now been off for 2 days, missing 2 sets of Advent prizes and much more.

The code we got was printed in the first post - and seeing as I can't get on, I can't submit a bug report. Great fun.
