Gradient fills, bleh.

The nehome, Capara, chia, snorkle, plushies, frogarott, techo, calendar all have gradient fills. Of course Roo Island was by far the worst offender, but we're talking about using gradient shading in the Year of the Revamp. Not to mention the icons themselves don't make much sense for what they describe. I'm sure in the time it took to make one of those stupid neogreetings they could have made some decent images for icons we'll be seeing on a semi-regular basis for the next couple years. It can't possibly be that hard to make them at least look new.

I never got what this was supposed to be...

i never use it anyway, but i think they look ok except for the Kyrii in the beauty contest pic, thats awful

My gosh, the "feed pet" apple looks like something from four years ago, in terms of neopets drawing style! (and it looks more like a ball or cherry than an apple - very round) The chia's "aura" looks very spikey, too. Hmm, it's so strange that they'd go back to gradients...

I think they look alright. I don't really use that page anyway so it doesn't bother me. I just log in and press the button to go to shops... lol.

I don't use them that much, either.
In fact, I think the only ones I ever use, are the quest, petpage, calendar and all pets on occasion.

But that doesn't stop me from looking at them.

I must be blind... I don't see any difference. =/

I never use the quest button.
I either go to shop wiz, and use the redirect there, or go ot the guilds and the quests link there (which is a really odd place for it)

I don't think they're bad...

If gradient were a crime, it wouldn't be available on every single graphics prog.

I think it's more acceptable here because the images are small.

As for the odd representations of the words, I think most, if not all of these are updated versions of the old ones.

They aren't that bad in my opinion. Although i rarely use them... i can get use to the more cartoon feeling. Hehe
